Free solitaire TriPeaks online: how it works
TriPeaks is a solitaire game where you clear three peaks of cards by playing cards that are one rank higher or lower than the card showing. You can play it free in your browser with Solitaire TriPeaks Garden, which also has hints, coins and a three-star goal on each level.
The one rule
Play a card that is one rank above or below the card showing. If the showing card is a 7, you can play a 6 or an 8. You can't play another 7, and you can't play a 5, because that's two ranks away.
Each card you play becomes the new showing card. Play an 8 on the 7 and you're now looking for a 7 or a 9. Because you can change direction at any point, a run like 7, 8, 9, 8 is allowed.
Cards in the peaks start face down and turn face up as the cards covering them are cleared. That's why the order you clear cards in matters.
Aces and the ends of the rank order differ between versions, so check how the game you're playing handles them.
Tips
- Look two moves ahead. When more than one card fits, ask what each choice lets you play next.
- Open the layout first. Prefer moves that uncover new cards over ones that don't.
- Use hints to learn. If you use a hint, work out why that card was the right one.
- Keep the stock in mind. Spare cards are most useful when you haven't wasted them early.

FAQ
Can I play the same rank as the showing card?
No. The card must be exactly one rank higher or lower.
Can a run go up and then down?
Yes. Each card only has to match the one before it, so the run can change direction.
